Ever tried to rename My Computer? The computer will just wont let you do that... But there is a little Registry hack to do that...
1. Go to start -> Run -> Regedit to open up the Registry editor.
2. Browse to the following key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
3. Change the value of "LocalizedString" to the name you want My Computer to be renamed... Click ok..... And here you go...
4. Hey... I have got something more to tell you... Suppose you have many users in the same computer and you want user1 to see the name of My Computer as user1's Computer and user2 as user2's Computer, just change the value of "LocalizedString" to %username%'s Computer.
Please comment if you like my blog or if there are some discrepancies....
